Right next door to Lake Pepin Lattes, the Pepin Country Stop is a staple of this small town. Part café, part market, and part gathering place, it’s where locals grab lunch, travelers browse local goods, and everyone takes a moment to slow down. Stop inside for a fresh bakery treat or step outside to enjoy the view of colorful trees surrounding the property. There’s even a picnic area with string lights and Halloween decorations.

Lake Pepin is actually a widening of the Mississippi River; it’s 22 miles long and almost 3 miles across at its widest point. And the sunsets on Lake Pepin (from the Wisconsin side) are legendary.
